Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction, Pick, Odds

The Cincinnati Bengals visit the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Both of these teams have one thing in common, they both got boat raced by the Browns and were held to 3 points. These two teams are 1-2 and are underachieving. The Bengals are struggling with injuries, primarily with their star QB Joe Burrow who has been dealing with a calf injury. Burrow played on Monday night against the Rams and was able to do enough offensively to earn their first win. I watched this game, and I believe the Bengals’ win was more due to their defense limiting the Rams and causing turnovers. Will that continue? Find out in my Bengals vs. Titans prediction, pick, and odds.

The Titans live and die with Derrick Henry. If Henry does not run the ball well, the Titans will more than likely lose. This was apparent with their game against the Browns in Week 3. The Browns have an elite defense and they held Henry to 20 yards on 11 attempts. With no running game, Ryan Tannehill is not good enough to carry this team to a win.

Bengals vs. Titans Prediction

The Bengals’ run defense is ranked 30th, allowing 151 YPG, this will be a problem when facing Derrick Henry and the Titans. The Titans currently have the 23rd-ranked rushing offense, averaging 90 YPG. This is nothing to write home about, but when facing the 30th-ranked rushing defense this may be a significant factor to consider.

Derrick Henry should feast this game, which helps the entire offense and helps control the game. The Bengals do not want to risk letting Derrick Henry gain some momentum, he is always a potential game-changer.

On the flip side, the Titans should be able to limit the rushing attack of the Bengals, they have the 4th-ranked rushing defense, allowing an average of 69 YPG.

One thing the Bengals have going for them is that Burrow is back, and looked relatively healthy against the Rams Monday night. The Bengals’ offense has been struggling though, ranking bottom 5 across all offensive categories. Tennessee is ranked 30th in passing defense, allowing an average of 300 YPG. There is a possibility Burrow and the Bengals get their passing game back on track against the Titans.

This is the only hesitation I have with my bet being the Titans +2.5 in my Bengals vs. Titans prediction.

Other than this possibility, I am highly confident the Titans, led by King Henry, will cover the spread.

My prediction is the Titans will be able to control the game with their run game. They will force the Bengals to pass only, which will help their defense overall. The Titans will cover the spread and have a good chance of winning this game too.
