The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Los Angeles Rams in SoFi Stadium this Sunday. Somehow the Steelers have a winning record, sitting at 3-2. The Steelers have wins over the Browns, Raiders, and Ravens. They will be fresh off of a bye week and it is always tough to bet against a Tomlin coached Steelers.
The Rams are coming off of a convincing 26-9 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in week 6. They appear to be gaining momentum with the return of Cooper Kupp.
This will be an interesting matchup. If the Steelers can keep this game close, they have a chance to sneak away with a win. The Rams have the potential to blow the lid off this game and win by 14 points easily. Let’s see how the pendulum swings in this matchup. I have my prediction, pick, and odds for this game below.

Steelers vs. Rams Prediction
I believe the Steelers are overachieving this season. They are ranked 30th in total offense and defense. They average 268 YPG offensively and allow an average of 389 YPG. Somehow they manage to win, and sit at 3-2 on the year. One of the reasons for their success is the elite coaching from Mike Tomlin and gritty winning culture the Steelers have fostered.
So how have they been winning games? They beat the Browns with a scoop and score on defense. Kenny Pickett managed to pull together some offense against the Raiders and forced 3 interceptions from Jimmy Garoppolo. The Ravens should have won, but the entire wide receiver corps of the Ravens had a bad case of the dropsies. If we take luck out of the equation, the Steelers should only have 1 win this season.
The Rams are sitting at 3-3 on the year. The offense ranks 7th, averaging 367 YPG. The defense is respectable, ranked 13th, allowing an average of 330 YPG. The return of Cooper Kupp has given Mathew Stafford another elite weapon on offense, bolstering the production of Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua. Williams did suffer an ankle injury in week 6. The MRI revealed this should not be a long term injury and Williams could miss this game on Sunday. The backup running back Ronnie Rivers is also injured, and could miss 4-5 weeks. This leaves the rushing attack with Zach Evans, leaving a question mark in the running game.
Despite the injuries, I anticipate another impressive offensive showing from the Rams. Kupp and Nacua will have a great game. The Rams’ defense will limit Pickett and the rest of the lackluster offense of the Steelers. My bet is the Rams -3.
