New York Giants vs. Las Vegas Raiders Props

In my Giants vs. Raiders Prediction, Pick, Odds article I picked the Raiders to cover the -1.5 spread. This is primarily due to potential boost the Raiders offense may have after the Raiders organization cleaned house with their head coach, general manager, offensive coordinator, and starting quarterback on a short week.

Both of these teams have skilled running backs. I expect both teams to try and establish the run game to help their struggling offenses stay afloat. This is the route I decided to pursue with my prop picks.

Saquon Barkley Over 90 Rushing Yards (Waiting for odds to be released)

Saquon Barkley will be facing a bad rushing defense. The Raiders rank 30th in rushing defense, allowing an average of 141 rushing yards per game. Barkley averages 82 rushing yards per game. I expect the Giants to want to establish the run game early and maintain it throughout the game. This will help quarterback Daniel Jones minimize mistakes and hopefully game manage the Giants to a victory. We need to keep an eye on Barkley’s health going into week 9, he is battling an ankle injury and is questionable to play.

Josh Jacobs Over 65 Rushing Yards (Waiting for odds to be released)

The Giants rank 24th in rushing defense, allowing an average of 127 rushing yards per game. Jacobs has not been running the ball as well as last season. He averages 51 rushing yards per game, not impressive but overall the Raiders’ offense has been very bad this season. There are two variables favoring a Jacobs’ breakout game. First, the offense may receive a boost with head coach and offensive coordinator firings. Second, Jacobs is due for a breakout game, and this is the perfect opportunity to do so. My bet is Josh Jacobs over 65 rushing yards.
