The Washington Commanders (4-5) visit the Seattle Seahawks (5-3) this Sunday. The Commanders are coming off of a solid 20-17 victory over the New England Patriots. Quarterback Sam Howell has been a surprise so far this season. Howell has thrown for 2471 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. Although Howell has the tendency to throw picks, the Commanders’ offense has been high flying.
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off of a blowout 37-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. I do not view this loss too harshly since Baltimore tends to blowout a lot of good teams. Seattle Quarterback Geno Smith has not been as productive as of late. Smith has thrown for 1802 yards, 9 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions through week 9. The main issue has been turnovers, Smith has thrown at least 1 interception in his last 4 games. If Smith can avoid the turnovers, and get the ball to his playmakers, the Seahawks should win this game. Read my Commanders vs. Seahawks Prediction, Pick, Odds below.

Commanders vs. Seahawks Prediction
The Commanders have been able to move the ball up and down the field and score. Their issue is defense. Defensively they rank 28th, allowing an average of 369 yards per game. Their offensive has been good, but not it is not good enough to overcome the deficiencies on defense. The Commanders’ offense ranks 17th overall, averaging 332 yards per game. Sam Howell tends to turn the ball over as well, which limits the offense and makes it much more difficult to win.
The Seahawks’ offense ranks 20th, averaging 312 yards per game. This is a surprising stat since there are so many playmakers on this offense, from DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, to Kenneth Walker III. Key injuries may be the cause of offensive struggles, but Smith has been a turnover machine. I do believe the limiting factor recently has been Geno Smith turnovers. This is a great opportunity for Smith to right the ship and get his offense back on track. Decent offenses have been able to score and move the ball against the Commanders, I expect this trend to continue. The Seahawks are at home, which provides a significant boost to the team overall. I am placing my money on the Seahawks to cover the spread. I do not think it is too much to expect the Seahawks to win by at least a touchdown. My bet is on the Seahawks -6.5.
