Dallas Cowboys vs. Carolina Panthers Prediction, Pick, Odds

I went 1 out of 3 for my picks against the spread so far in week 10. I was a few key plays away from going 3 for 3. This is the risk we take when putting money on the line in a complex sport like football. Any given Sunday right? Let’s regroup and win some money this week.

The Dallas Cowboys visit the Carolina Panthers this Sunday. The Cowboys are coming off of a dominant 49-17 win against the New York Giants in week 10. The Cowboys had 640 total yards and quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 404 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 1 interception. This game was over by the end of the first quarter.

The Panthers and Bears squared off on Thursday night. The Panthers lost 13-16, in a game featuring two struggling offenses. Quarterback Bryce Young was pedestrian, he threw for 185 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions.

I do not expect the Cowboys to put up 50+ points on the Panthers, but I do expect this game to be over early. The Panthers offense will not be able to keep up. Read my full prediction, pick, and odds below.

Cowboys vs. Panthers Prediction

The Cowboys have proven they dominate bad teams at home, now they will face a tiny bit more resistance by facing one of the worst teams in the NFL on the road. I am not holding my breath on a Panthers’ upset in week 11. The Cowboys rank in the top 5 both on offense and defense. On offense they rank 4th, averaging 379 yards per game. On defense they rank 3rd, allowing an average of 275 yards per game. This is a very good team, not many obvious weaknesses.

The Panthers offense is ranked 30th, averaging 275 yards per game. They have been staying close in some of their games due to their 7th ranked defense that allows an average of 308 yards per game. Bryce Young has thrown 8 touchdowns and 7 interceptions this season, I believe the Cowboys will force at least 1-2 interceptions.

I will keep this analysis simple. This is a matchup between a team built for a super bowl run and a team in the early stages of a rebuild. I expect a dominant win, with the Cowboys putting up at least 30 points, holding the Panthers to around 13 points. My bet this game is to take the Cowboys -11.
