After Monday Night Football, I am now 2-4 on my week 10 picks against the spread. We have some positive momentum heading into week 11. The New York Giants visit the Washington Commanders week 11, both teams looking to rebound after some tough losses in week 10.

The Commanders lost a 29-26 heartbreaker to the Seattle Seahawks. This game featured big play highlights and clutch field goals, but the Commanders could not hang on to win this close game. 

The Giants were completely dominated in all phases of the game against the Cowboys in week 10. The final score of this game was 49-17, and the Giants allowed 640 yards of total offense. The Giants had already been blown out by the Cowboys this season, in week 1 the Giants lost to the Cowboys 40-0, it has been a very rough season for the Giants so far. Giants vs. Commanders Prediction

The GIants struggling offense may have some success against the 29th ranked Commanders defense that is allowing an average of 381 total yards per game. The Commanders are one dimensional, they have a weak defense, but their offense is ranked 16th overall, averaging 335 yards per game. The surprisingly effective part of their offense is the passing game, the Commanders rank 6th overall in passing offense, averaging 278 yards per game. Even more shocking, quarterback Sam Howell is the league leader in passing yards through week 10. Howell has thrown for 2783 yards this season. 

The Giants rank 32nd on offense, averaging 259 yards per game. The Giants are not much better on defense, they rank 27th, allowing an average of 369 yards per game. The Giants’ offense struggled immensely against the Cowboys, but that is a tough game to gauge, especially facing a top 5 team in the league. The jury is still out on quarterback Tommy DeVIto and facing a weaker defense in week 11, this is his time to prove himself.

The Commanders defense is suspect, and I believe the Giants will have a better game offensively compared to week 10. The issue will be the Commanders’ passing game, I do not believe the Giants will be able to stop it nor keep up. Vegas oddsmakers must agree with that sentiment, which is why the spread is so wide. The Commanders are -10 in the contest. Although risky picking such a wide spread in a divisional game, I agree with Vegas. My pick this week is Commanders -10, they are desperate to win and are at home as well.
