The Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday. The 49ers had a “get right” game against the Jaguars, winning 34-3. New teammate Chase Young made an immediate impact for the defense. 

The Buccaneers beat the Titans handily, with a score of 20-6. Both teams are coming off of convincing victories, both teams have playoff aspirations, but I believe the 49ers are better equipped to earn another solid victory. Read my Buccaneers vs. 49ers Prediction, Pick, Odds below.

Buccaneers vs. 49ers Prediction

The 49ers have proven to be a well-rounded and elite team. They rank 5th on defense, allowing an average of 305 yards per game. This was on full display against the Jaguars in week 10, holding them to only 3 points. The 49ers offense is ranked 3rd, averaging 383 yards per game. Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams returned from injury against the Jaguars and it made a huge difference.

The Buccaneers rank 22nd on offense, averaging 307 yards per game. On defense they rank 24th, allowing an average of 354 yards per game. It is surprising to note that the Bucs rank 6th in run defense, allowing an average 87 yards per game. 

The 49ers will have to get creative to run the ball against the Bucs, but I doubt that will be a problem since they are at full strength. This game will be the Brock Purdy show, I expect George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk to have big games. The 49ers will be able to score easily while also holding the Bucs to a very low score. The 49ers are at home as well and still want to prove they are an elite team. My bet is on the 49ers to cover the -12 spread.
