New England Patriots vs. Las Vegas Raiders Player Prop Picks: NFL Player Props

New England Patriots vs. Las Vegas Raiders Player Prop Picks

In my New England Patriots vs. Las Vegas Raiders Prediction, Pick, Odds, I predicted this game will be a low scoring defensive battle. An interesting factor in this game is all of the Patriot connections between Josh McDaniels and Bill Belichick and Jacobi Meyers is also an ex-Patriot. There could be some extra incentive for each of these teams to put on a show.

Regarding player prop picks, I am taking some interesting picks. Read them below.

Patriots vs. Raiders Player Prop Picks

Mac Jones Over Interceptions (Waiting for odds to be released)

Mac Jones has been a turnover machine the past two weeks. Mac Jones threw 2 INTs against the Cowboys in week 4 and 2 INTs against the Saints in week 5. Mac Jones and the offense are not clicking right now. The Raiders pass defense is solid too, which can make it a very tough game for Jones. The Raiders’ pass defense is ranked 8th overall, allowing 213 YPG. Mac Jones hopes for a turnaround game this week, however I do believe he will throw at least 1 INT this game, possibly 2 again depending on game flow.

Davante Adams Under Receiving Yards (Waiting for odds to be released)

Bill Belichick likes to limit and/or take away an opposing team’s best player on offense. As of now, the best player on the Raiders is Davante Adams. If Belichick sticks to this style of defense, I expect Adams to be in double coverage most of the game. What makes this play risky is the playmaking ability of Adams. Adams is averaging 99 YPG, with an average of 12 yards per reception. One big play from Adams could boost his receiving yards very quickly and ruin this pick. What makes this more impressive is that Adams has been an effective pass catcher with subpar quarterback play from Garoppolo and Aidan O’Connell. I believe Belichick will find a way to limit production from Adams, but this plays into my next player prop pick.

Josh Jacobs Over Receiving Yards (Waiting for odds to be released)

In an effort to limit production from Davante Adams, running back Josh Jacobs should have a big game both rushing and receiving. I am taking the over on Jacobs’ receiving yards because he has been used more and more as a pass catcher as of late. Jacobs is third on the team in receiving yards, with 173 total yards. Jacobs had 81 yards receiving, with 11 targets against the Chargers in week 4. Jacobs was the top receiver when Adams left the game with an injury.

The Patriots passing defense is ranked 7th overall, which should lead to more checkdowns, and lead to feeding Jacobs the ball more and more. Jacobs should have at least 50 yards receiving this game.
